Dubai Airports Celebrates 45th UAE National Day

Dubai, UAE – November 29, 2016 – Government dignitaries, aviation executives and airport employees gathered at Dubai International’s Terminal 3 today to celebrate the 45th UAE National Day in fine fashion with an array of activities and events.

During this year’s celebration, Dubai Airports has pulled out all the stops, decorating its 80 metre tall air traffic control tower in UAE national colours and setting a Guinness World Record by creating the biggest model of a building out of date seeds. Traditional music filled the air as dancers and children celebrated along the hundreds of aviation professionals at the world’s leading international hub.

“Today we celebrate 45 years of achievement,” said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group. “Thanks to the unity and vision of our wise leadership, our nation has emerged as one known globally for its innovation, drive, determination and accomplishments. Aviation continues to be a fundamental pillar of the UAE’s economy and our sector is committed to continuing to serve our customers and contribute to the prosperity and ongoing development of this great nation.”

The event was attended by Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, His Excellency Jamal Al Hai, Member Federal National Council (FNC) and Deputy CEO Dubai Airports and special guest, the locally and internationally celebrated artist Hussain Al Jassmi whose performance of “I love you my country” brought the audience to its feet.
