Dubai Airports Wins Top Awards At The GCC HR Excellence Awards 2011

Dubai, UAE – May 25, 2011 – Dubai Airports added to its impressive and growing list of industry accolades last night as it was named Employer of the Year, while the company’s chief executive Paul Griffiths was recognised as the Preferred CEO of the Year at the 3rd Annual GCC HR Excellence Awards 2011 organised by the business information group naseba.
Dubai Airports has won seven major international awards in the first five months of 2011 and is broadly recognised as managing the best airport in the Middle East by organisations such as Airports Council International, Skytrax and Business Traveller. Dubai Airports can now add best employer to that list.

The awards event was hosted as part of the 6th Human Assets Expansion Middle East Summit which was held from 23rd to 25th May at the Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre. The three-day summit brought together CEOs, heads of human resources and development departments, recruitment managers and other HR&D professionals from leading Middle East companies under the theme ‘Human Capital – Catalyst that makes your organisation grow and succeed’.
The summit featured interactive workshops, case studies, keynote presentations, panel and roundtable discussions covering a range of pressing issues and challenges that face HR professionals today. Industry experts also discussed the future of employment in the GCC, nationalisation and how the credit crunch has affected the regional talent pool.
The HR Excellence Awards recognise and reward individuals and organisations that have made outstanding and innovative contributions to the successful development of HR in the region.
