DXB Terminal 1 to have luggage shipping service for passengers with excess baggage

Dubai, UAE – September 3, 2018 – Passengers departing from Dubai International (DXB) will soon have access to luggage shipping services for excess baggage, according to an invitation to tenders issued by Dubai Airports today.
As part of its efforts to maximise convenience for customers and enhance overall airport experience, Dubai Airports is inviting tenders from reputable luggage shipping service providers for two units located in departure land side area of DXB’s Terminal 1.
DXB is the world’s busiest airport for international passengers for the fourth consecutive year with annual traffic exceeding 88.2 million passengers in 2017 and an estimated 90.2 million passengers expected in 2018.
The airport, which currently has capacity to accommodate more than 90 million passengers annually, connects 240 destinations around the world through 75 international airlines. Work is underway to expand the airport’s capacity to 118 million passengers by 2023 under a technology and process improvement programme.
