Caption
Dubai International (DXB) welcomed Air India’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to arrive from the South Indian city of Kochi in Kerala with a traditional water salute yesterday afternoon. The crew and representatives of the airline were welcomed at a cake cutting ceremony at Concourse D. Air India is one of the seven airlines that connect Dubai to 19 destinations across India – DXB’s top destination country with 11.4 million passengers in 2016. On average there are 78 daily flights between DXB and India, or a weekly average of 546 flights. The flight which arrived is Air India's second Dreamliner service connecting India and Dubai, as the carrier already operates a Dreamliner on the Delhi-Dubai sector.
